Can I have my Veggie box delivered?
Yes, as long as your order is at least $15 and you reside in one of the delivery areas listed below.
At this time delivery is available to Flint addresses on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Routes have been organized by zip code, as follows:
Tuesdays: 48503, 48505 and 48506
Wednesdays: 48502, 48504, 48507 and 48532 (within Flint city limits).
What if I am not home when my box is delivered?
Residents will be notified and given a time window of when a crew member will be in your area. The driver will leave your box on the doorstep unless otherwise arranged. Once the box is delivered, it becomes the customer’s responsibility and the Veggie Box program may not be held responsible for any missing boxes. The quality of your produce is affected by how much time it sits outside unrefrigerated, so please make every effort to retrieve the box from your porch as soon as possible.
Can I pick up my Veggie Box?
Anyone can choose to pick up their box at The Local Grocer (601 MLK Ave, 48502) during business hours. Select the “pick up at store” option when placing your order.
Can I use electronic food stamps (EBT) and Double Up Food Bucks online?
You may place your order online, but you'll need to present your card to a crew member when they deliver your order. Select the "I'll pay at the door" option when you place your order.
Can I pick what produce is in my box?
If you select the A La Carte Box you can select from the available choices that week.
Are Veggie Boxes only available in the summer?
No, the Veggie Box Program runs year round!
What do I do with my empty box?
All Genesee County municipalities collect cardboard boxes in their curbside recycling programs. It is best to break down in order to save space in the recycling truck.
